Today, September 9th, 2015, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II surpasses her Great-great Grandmother Queen Victoria as the Longest Reigning Monarch in British History! At the time of her death in 1901, Queen Victoria had reigned for 63 years, 7 Months, and 2 days! Today, Elizabeth II has made it to that. In 2007, she did become Britain's Oldest Living Monarch! She is the world's oldest reigning monarch and second-longest-serving current head of state (after King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand). I shall not recount Her Majesty's life story, but instead give you some important and interesting historical facts about her reign:
The next great milestone that Her Majesty shall reach is her 90th Birthday celebration next spring. There are a bunch of celebrations that are along the lines of what took place for her Diamond Jubilee. Check out the plans at the link below! But, for now, I offer my congratulations to Her Majesty the Queen and as the National Anthem goes....
"Send her Victorious, Happy and Glorious, Long to Reign over Us...
